I’m thrilled to tell you all that we will be holding the July Staffordshire plant fair at The Dog & Doublet. The fair will be open from 11am to 4pm.
The Dog & Doublet is literally opposite the main gates to Sandon Hall and will be offering food and refreshments all day.
ADMISSION IS FREE to all.
As always there will be a wonderful selection of quality plants on sale for you to buy, as well as accessary stands and a warm welcome back to Staffordshire Wildlife.

Bright and Beautiful David Leese has been at Flower Power Fairs for many years, always bringing a great collection of seasonal plants, hardy perennials, shrubs, always of the highest quality.
D K Plants Dave Knox and I have known each other for well over 30 years! He is a dedicated plantsman with extensive knowledge and over the years has created his own garden display areas at his nursery in Cheadle, Staffordshire. Dave always brings an amazing display of plants. Unusual shrubs, hardy perennials and shade loving plants.
Edge Nurseries Based in Staffordshire, Xavier joined Flower Power Fairs last year and puts together a great display of his perennials and seasonal plants.
Fig & Rose You first met Fig & Rose at Sandon Hall last year. Anne brings a magnificent display of garden accessories, rusty metal décor, plant supports, obelisks, garden wall art, bird baths, planters and whatever delights she’s created over the winter season.
Hardy Plant Society – Staffordshire Branch A cornucopia of plants on sale from the wonderful ladies and gentlemen of the HPS. Lots of little gems to be had from their stall so make sure you get there early to have the best choice.
The Herb Nursery Based in Rutland, Chrissie and her husband, Peter, have been supporters of Flower Power Fairs for many years and sell an amazing collection of perlagoniums, herbs (culinary and medical), wild flowers and complimentary plants to suit all gardens.
Hillview Hardy Plants Based in Shropshire, Team Millington have exhibited at all the major horticultural shows over the years. It is always a pleasure to welcome them and their collections of unusual herbaceous plants, some shrubs and always a few surprises. I never know quite what they will be bringing, but it’s always good quality!
L J Nurseries Based in Cheshire, Bill and Gill have supported Flower Power Fairs more or less since we started in 2006. Bill has a wonderful knowledge of plants and they always bring a colourful display of their choice herbaceous perennials and shrubs.
Oaktree Plants I’m sure you will all know Tim who brings his own plants along with garden wildlife habitats.
Penmere Plants Based in Cheshire, Sarah comes into her own at this time of the year with her incredible selection of quality fuchsia. Hardy, half hardy and tender tendrils of beautiful colours weep gently from her stand and she has a vast knowledge of them all. She’s also brings some complimentary plants to grow alongside her beautiful fuchsia.
Ruth & Bryan Hall Based in Church Broughton, Derbyshire and again, long supporters of Flower Power Fairs. Ruth brings a collection of tender succulents, alpines and unusual perennials.
RSPB Royal Society for the Protection of Birds will be our main charity this year, bringing knowledge and passion to our wonderful garden birds. Please consider joining the society to help our, sadly, diminishing bird life.
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Encouraging us all to allow more wildlife into our gardens and to understand the pressures they are under.
Stannard’s Another family run independent nursery run by Brian and Liz. Passionate plantspeople with a deep knowledge of horticulture. They are based in Ruddington, Notts and will be bringing their usual fabulous collection of seasonal herbaceous plants.
