A & A Plants NEW to Wynyard Hall. A wonderful selection of choice and unusual herbaceous perennials from this Cheshire plant nursery. Offering you plants for all parts of your gardens, including hot areas, shady areas and North facing gardens.

Alfresco Design Luke is based in East Yorkshire and always has an incredible display of garden accessories. Ornamental delights including his iron trees, rusty plant supports, flying swallows, pots and planters and water baths. It’ll be interesting to see what he has in store for us as his stocks change by the plant fair.
Dark Star Plants Jenny needs no introduction with her wonderful array of dark foliage plants and complimentary flowers to brighten up anyone’s gardens. She always brings an unusual selection of herbaceous plants for you, and hopefully some jam jar posies.
Fayrefield Horticulture and Garden Design Tracey is based at Seamer, near Scarborough and specialises in pollinator plants. She always brings an interesting selection of herbaceous and annual plants, wild flowers, vegetable plants and herbs as well as her own hand made willow sculptures including hares and dragonflies.
Freckles and Flora Henrietta specialises in unusual herbaceous perennials and a selection of choice annuals, with a particular speciality of aster/symphyotrichum, unusual umbels and drought tolerant plants.
Gardening with Wildlife A cornucopia of amazing things which Matthew has lovingly created out of discarded wood, wire, paper and anything else he can get his hands on. A large selection of hand made and correctly built bird boxes, hedgehog homes, owl boxes and habitat hotels. Aided and abetted by his wife, Fran, who creates many of the other items they sell, often with delightful decoupage pots and planters, sea glass creations, recycled copper items and Ben who is also a gifted wood turner in his own right bringing quality pens and wooden bowls. Gardening with wildlife is for anyone who wishes to tempt our birds, bees and mammals into our gardens.
G T S Gardening Services NEW A new nursery to Flower Power Fairs. Gary is based in Ryton and will be bringing his selection of perennials. His particular speciality is Hardy Geraniums and I shall be right at the front of the queue! I just love them all and they are such “good doers”, pop them in and let them grow. His stand was very popular at the recent Thirsk Hall fair and I was tempted! Yet another geranium to add to my collection.
Just Baskets Cliff Hughes and I have known each other far too long! He used to attend a two day show I organised in Cheshire over 20 years ago, and now attends a lot of the smaller events. He brings baskets, in all shapes and sizes, from log baskets to shopping baskets, and also has a few quirky wooden ornaments and garden statues too.
Kippers Creations NEW Les and his team are into metal! Not necessarily heavy metals, but all sorts of weird and wonderful metal creations for your gardens. This will be his second show with us so I hope you will be as delighted as I was when I met him and his creations.
Meadowmakers Ed brings you a wonderful selection of plug plants, all are native British wild flowers and all will look wonderful in your gardens, whether you have a “wild area” or just want to enhance your garden with nectar plants to encourage more wild life into your gardens. He’s very knowledgeable and you can ask him anything wild flower meadows and he’s sure to be able to assist you.
Middlemoor Cottage Garden Plants Sharon and Jeff are based near Richmond and bring a vast selection of summer flowering plants including hardy perennials, cottage garden plants, annuals, vegetables and some lovely pots and containers. And in the middle of all this, they farm too.
Morton Nurseries Gill is based near Newark and over the years has created the most wonderful garden from what had been an empty field. She always brings delights! Specialising in very unusual plants and shrubs, you won’t be disappointed. A Gold Award winner at many of the bigger horticultural shows, Gill always bring a colourful and exotic stand. Shrubs, beautiful roses, unusual herbaceous plants and always of the highest quality. Be sure to say hello to her.
Northern Ark Nursery Many of you will remember Simon, the previous owner of Northern Ark. He sold out his business a couple of years ago and we are thrilled to welcome new owner, Ian Robson, to Flower Power. Depending on the season, Ian will be bringing his hardy herbs (they live in Northumberland!) 95% of which has been grown from their own cuttings. All grown in their own peat free compost. And raw HONEY – delicious pure unadultured honey directly from the pollen from their nursery and surrounding moor. I can highly recommend.
Respect Soaps Sandra’s stand always smells delicious with her huge variety of home made soaps, earth kind soap for hair, hands and body care items plus a small selection of scented home items. Wonderful quality and I can highly recommend her shampoos.
S J Hostas NEW TO WYNYARD. Sam is a new plant nursery to the fold and has already attended two events, Rode Hall in Cheshire, and Thirsk Hall in Yorkshire. He brings a stunning variety of hostas – many of which I have never heard of before, in the most wonderful condition. He’s passionate about his plants and, as you would expect, extremely knowledgeable. Even if you say you don’t like hostas, you might well be tempted!
Shades of Green Another new nursery to Flower Power last year was Sharon from Kirkby Fleetham. She will be bringing houseplants, tropical, native, carnivorous and foliage plants as well as some succulents and cacti.
Summerfield Plant Nursery Another highly respected plant nursery based near York and offering lots of choice from small trees and shrubs, shady plants including a hosta that Phil has created himself – PHIL BARON GREEN. Check it out because I think it’s a really unusual hosta. Wonderful summer perennials are now coming into their own so if you need some more colour in your gardens, come and say hello to Phil.
